Seeking unpaid "shadow" with other surgeon or clinical attachment 2 Years, 3 Months ago
Karma: 0
I am a 35 year old female surgeon arriving in UK for the first time early November and will be residing at Uxbridge Middlesex. I am a qualified general surgeon graduated in Bangkok after 4 years surgical training and have 3 years post graduation surgery experience in both Government and private hospitals. I am aware that I need to pass IELTS and ha and have recently resigned my positions to travel to the UK. I have been studying English for 4 months, intending to take IELTS early December. I then intend to apply for a visa as a highly skilled migrant worker and apply for exemption from PLAB 1 and 2 via the PEMTB in the specialist category General Surgeon. My immediate desire would be to shadow a practicing surgeon or undertake a clinical attachment. I have a CV indicating my medical profile and letters of recommendations from senior surgeons in my home country of Thailand in English. I wish to settle in the UK with my fiancee and practice as a surgeon in the fullness of time. If any surgeon would be kind enough to provide me with an introdcution to the UK system by allowing me to shadow them I would be eternally grateful.
